Busy in Music

I'm very grateful, very happy for this 2010,

through the year I played 63 live shows with La National Film Chamber Orchestra, plus countless for Filmoteca at Canal 7TV

also played 26 gigs with artists such as Francisco Bochaton, Maria Eva, Maxi Trusso, El Diablo en la Boca, Iman, Sami Abadi, Vertigo Colectivo, Samalea, and solo performances

participated in 2 projects with The Orchestra of Crafty Guitarists, in Italy and Argentina, and a performnace of Terry Riley's In C with Francesco Dillon, Alter Ego and other superb musicians at Teatro San Martin

91 live performnaces throughout the year...

also 2 live performances with my students and one at my daughter's kindergarden

for the big screen recorded and completed the soundtrack for Claustropolis together with Matias Mango,

I have 2 records ready: Kabusacki 10, Luck (will be released in Argentina on January 6 2011, and in Japan next April), and Samalea/Kabusacki (featuring Tony Levin) Ai Limiti del Mondo, which is now being mixed

I recorded several guitars for Palito Ortega's upcoming tribute to Neri Nelson CD, a classic rock'n'roll album;

mixed "Metropolis" and have several recordings edited and mastered by La NFCO for release next year..

Charly Garcia's Kill Gil was finally releaed (a stunning album...with tons of guitars in there...) and also Maxi Trusso's Love Gone and Maria Eva's album, and Vertigo Colectivo's, all wonderful records which I'm proud to be part of

...it's been a happy and busy year

Happy 2011!!!!!!!!

another busy week

the making of "kabusacki 10 - luck" took a lot of work. good work, fine work, supported in a great way by this gift given to me years ago by alessandro bruno

the album will be out real soon, and I'm recovering, catching up with different projects

samalea and I went to sagitario studio in lujan last wednesday to deliver the material so leo can begin mixing the kabusacki/samalea cd. it already sounds incredible. tony's bass is stunning!

on thursday matias and I went to ariel lavigna's studio for corrections on the mix of claustropolis, and on to the 5.1 mix. the movie will soon be completed.

friday: recorded guitars for matias' music for a theater play

saturday: rehearsed with the ensamble. 13 of us.

still reading ron wood's book

today u and I went to see "palabra cantada" a brazilian group playing music for kids. they are superb.

tomorrow morning la national film chamber orchestra will be recording melies films at canal 7 TV argentina

Terry Riley In C en el San Martin

I will be playing here next week...

Manuel Zurria (Italia, flauta) / Oscar Pizzo (Italia, piano) / Francesco Dillon (Italia, violonchelo) / Antonio Caggiano (Italia, percusión) Dirección Francesco Dillon, Manuel Zurria (Italia)

CHARLY GARCIA Lanza oficialmente “Kill Gil”

Mixing

good reviews for maxi trusso's album... here's what rolling stone says...

recordings for my new album completed last saturday,

the last session with mr mussa phelps

mixing began today with daniel ovie in his stunning studio. daniel has just been nominated for the latin grammy awards!

Trasnoches macabras

Ma very best wishes to Gustavo Cerati in his recovery.

La National Film Chamber Orchestra played at Malba last night, 2 wonderful Lon Chaney movies, recorded at Canal 7 (Filmoteca) today and will play tomorrow again at Malba.

I changed my setup radically following advice and encouragement from my Orchestra pal Matias Mango: Virtual Guitar (Roland VG99) and a powerbook loaded with Reason. Sounds great, much simpler and lighter, so many sonic possibilities with great quality. I'm happy.

Here;s another good photo by Agustina Arcondo playing at La Trastienda with Bochaton a couple of weeks ago, when I decided to get a new Les Paul in the near future.

Roma and The Flower

and another highlight from roma: first capuccino with o'reilly at our arrival in italy, before continuing or trip to sassoferrato...

The Flower Movie in Rosario!!!

JUEVES 13 | 19 HS. | EL CAIRO Cine Público | Santa Fe 1120
|| Entrada Libre y Gratuita ||

we hope to make this dvd available soon, possibly together with the images of a live show at nd ateneo

I'm playing with bochaton at la trastienda today
